The Wonder of Collections

šŸŒŸ Lots of lovely ā€˜collectionsā€™!šŸŒŸ Children naturally collect things. Weā€™ve all been on walks with children that end with pockets full (theirs and ours!) of stones, sticks, feathers and shells. šŸš šŸŒ³ Providing children with ā€˜collectionsā€™ of items appeals to this interest further and naturally allows their innate ā€˜schemasā€™ to grow. Any collection will encourage the children to naturally sort, categorise and order, and by comparing one item to another, they are using and developing a wealth of skills. Childrenā€™s inquisitive nature and creativity will take this play further when the collection will become a ā€˜loose partā€™ and all of a sudden youā€™ll see patterns and shapes appearing. Here at ā€˜Little Wondersā€™ we have always loved a collection. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø From our Grandparentā€™s array of china bells to our childhood chess sets, we are always on the lookout for a new ā€˜collectionā€™. We have found them here, there and everywhere! Our collection of shoes is a personal favourite. An added dimension to this set is that some are in pairs and some are not. ā™Ÿ šŸ„æ šŸ‘ž šŸ‘Ÿ However, these gatherings donā€™t just have to be of the weird and wonderful. Something as every day as a spoon can begin a marvellous collection. šŸ„„ šŸ„„ šŸ„„ If youā€™re home schooling right now : šŸŒŸ Try challenging your ā€˜little wondererā€™ to make a collection of their own and see what they find! šŸ’« šŸ”
